Warehousing and Logistics
Many of MasTec’s reduce, recycle and reuse programs start and end in MasTec’s warehouse locations.
Materials are economically parceled out to meet the needs of the field and to minimize the packaging and
waste related to the deployment of network equipment and infrastructure.
MNS operations returns all packaging, excess cabling and other materials from the jobsite back to our
warehouses for re-use or recycling as designated by our customers.
Decommissioned network equipment is triaged from our warehouse locations back to the OEM or carrier,
to designated resale partners or to an electronics recycling and e-waste provider that responsibly recycles
these materials and helps to ensure 100% landfill avoidance for all recyclable materials.
Recycling bins exist at MNS locations for paper, plastics and metals and to help ensure the highest amount
of landfill avoidance. In the latest survey and assessment of MNS waste and recycling practices, MNS
facilities nationwide recycled ~ 46% of all materials.
Working with our warehouse managers, MNS expects to improve our recycling percentages until we are
near 100% landfill avoidance for all recyclable materials.
