Introduction

Yellow Wings To Victory is a 1 hour documentary and enhanced

web-based, new media educational experience. Yellow Wings
                              th
will celebrate the 75 anniversary of the completion of the

British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) and the

sacrifice of the World War II veterans who were trained in the
BCATP and who served in the RCAF.

Yellow Wings to Victory features rock legend Tom Cochrane as Host and Narrator. Mr. Cochrane is an
Honorary Colonel in the RCAF, as well as an officer of the Order of Canada. The real key to Mr. Cochrane's
involvement is that his father, Thomas (Tuck) Cochrane, was a graduate of the BCATP, and flew transport
planes for the 435 Squadron of the RCAF in WWII.

Yellow Wings to Victory Objectives – Overview
        1. Veterans - Honour the sacrifice of our WW2 Air Force veterans, including the instructors and support
            personnel of the BCATP.

        2. Recognition of Historical Significance – Bring awareness to this key element in the establishment of our
national identity on the world stage, at a critical time of global crisis.
        3. Small Museums: As a group the partner museums will be able to access web-based exhibit materials that
they do not have the resources to develop individually. The Yellow Wings to Victory initiative will create
            these resources for them.
        4. Museum Community - Drive additional traffic into aviation museums across the country. Enhance the
visitor experience with robust interactive exhibits and elements for partner museum websites, increasing
awareness, community engagement, both online and offline. Virtual links will provide access to the
            collections to every Canadian citizen.
        5. Public Education - Provide rich, web-based, interactive, digital, e-learning experiences for today's
