Reflection

The lesson was a success and I enjoyed teaching it t the learners. I had to do an
extensive research because planning for this lesson takes a lot. There are plenty of

nouns and because of that I had to collect all the necessary information to ensure that
learners will be given enough knowledge. In my introduction I have realized that the

learners have little knowledge about nouns and they cannot differentiate between types

of nouns and because this lesson was aimed at addressing variety of nouns I was
prepared to present each of them. In my introduction I have realized that there are gaps

in knowledge of the learners and I was prepared to fill them when I was searching for

their prior knowledge.

Integrating the lesson, I had to go through all the nouns and give examples to ensure

that learners are not confused. Since learners do not have any prior knowledge about
nouns I had to start with nouns that identify places and learners learnt that some names

are also nouns. Learners were confused for some time but as we go through the lesson

they have learnt and manage to realize that there are plenty of nouns to pick from. I still
must recap this lesson as I feel that learners are still facing challenges in grasping the

content. The activity that I gave learners at the end of the lesson showed me that
learners will still face challenges with this topic.

In my future preparations I have learnt that I need to take a certain topic at a time to

ensure that learners have enough time to learn concepts without any confusion. The
lesson was a success even though that I must revisit the topic very soon.
