The Third Wish
JAXON TURNS AND sees his mom standing in the study doorway. She’s probably been standing
there the whole time. She has a serious look on her face.
“Joe, I need to let you know what happens to people when Jaxon puts everything back the
way it was. People who have not had the necklace, like Raimy and I have, will not remember what
happened to them. So you won’t remember talking to Dr. Drew and Dr. Williams, or to Mr.
Latimer.”
Some of the excitement leaves Jaxon’s dad’s face.
“Are you serious? I won’t remember any of the conversations? That, somehow, seems
unfair,” he says frowning.
“Listen honey, Jaxon doesn’t have any control over what happens when things go back the
way they were. It’s just the way it is. I’m sorry.”
“At least Jaxon will remember and that’s cool,” his dad says.
