My name is Jon Timms. I live in Dunbar, East Lothian, right in the middle of Edinburgh and
Berwick-Upon-Tweed. Dunbar is a small coastal community with a rich history and heritage.
I moved here with my wife Emma and our four kids in July 2016, from Newquay in Cornwall –
                              one Celtic land to another.

We lead a Christian community here called Christian life – prayer/contemplation/
Discovery Church (www.discoverychurchdunbar. formation, and activism/mission/justice.

movement of prayer, mission and justice, Aside from what I ‘do’, I love to get out into
where I also have a place on the Scotland natural beauty and wildness, and thankfully
National Team. Scotland and Northumberland has no

Along with some dear friends, we began this mountain or snowboarding down one; surfing
church adventure with a desire to pioneer in the sea; playing music on my guitar; sitting
something creative, fresh and life-giving in around a roaring campfire with friends, family
this beautiful corner of the world. We’re and a strong coffee (or a wee dram); and
inspired to creatively live out simple scribbling down thoughts, ideas, musings,
community rhythms through our values and experiences and the odd poem in my journal.
