                                         Barber 3 (6160) Barber 4 (6161) grade 12

                8 units  *Students must be an 11th grader to enroll. **This is a two-year program.


                           Barber 1 & 2 - must maintain an overall yearly average of 70 and
                             must earn 500 clock hours to enroll in Barber 3 & 4 as seniors.
                Estimated Fee: $300-400 for Barbering kit  and Permit Fee (to be paid Junior year)
                   Fee: $150-200 for State Board Application Fee & Exam Fee (paid senior year)



            Barber/Master Hair Care Program prepares individuals to shave and trim facial/neck hair and beards, cut and
            dress hair, fit hairpieces, give facial and scalp massages, apply cosmetic treatments, and to prepare for licensure
            as professional barbers at various levels. Instruction includes facial shaving, beard and mustache shaping
            and trimming, shampooing, hair cutting, hair styles and styling art, facial treatments and massage, chemical
            applications, hair and scalp anatomy and physiology, hairpiece and toupee fitting, equipment operation,
            health and safety, customer service, and shop business practices.

            *In accordance with State licensing requirements, the student must provide a copy of his/her Social Security
            card and State issued photo ID prior to beginning the program.

                                   Architecture & Construction



                                                  HVAC Technology 1 (6003)
                                           2 units/1 semester * Grades  10,11,12


            This program provides students the basic knowledge of air conditioning systems, heating systems, and basic
            refrigeration. Basic electricity, electronic, refrigerant recovery, automobile a/c systems and pneumatic con-
            trols are studied. Students who successfully complete the required competencies will have the opportunity to
            participate in cooperative work experiences.

                                             2 units/1 semester * Grades  11,12
                                   Prerequisite: 75% or higher in HVAC Technology 1
                       Continuation of Level 1 with Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunity.
