Mechatronics Integrated Technologies
Mechatronics is an integration of mechanical and electronic
components. It includes working with robotics/automation, computer
components, and control systems. The skills taught are constantly
changing to meet the technology needs of industry demands.
Courses Offered
*Mechatronics Integrated Technologies I (6210 ) Dual Credit Proposed
This course will focus on Electrical Components, Electronics, and Industrial Safety.
Mechatronics Integrated Technologies II (6211 )
This course will focus on Mechanical Components, Electric Drives, Hand and Power Tools.
Mechatronics Integrated Technologies III (6212 ) (Honors)
This course will focus on Electro Pneumatics and Hydraulic Systems.
Mechatronics Integrated Technologies IV (6213 ) (Honors)
This course will focus on Digital Electronics Fundamentals and Programmable Controllers.
(Prerequisite: Grade of 70 or higher in each course or instructor recommendation is
needed to advance to the next level.)
*Dual Credit is proposed for courses marked with an asterisk (*) above. To earn dual credit,
students must meet the admissions requirements for Spartanburg Community College.
In addition, students earning dual credit will complete assignments that are above and
beyond normal class expectations.
