Law, Public Safety, Corrections, & Security Cluster
Law Enforcement Services
In Law Enforcement Services students learn basic fundamentals
including patrol duty, investigations, forensics, court room
testimony, and special services (SWAT, K-9). In addition, they will
learn techniques in building clearing, traffic stops, handcuffing
techniques, and defensive tactics. Students also participate in
physical training activities, which is an important component of this
career

Introduction to Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security - (6505)
*Law Enforcement Services I - (6510) Dual Credit Proposed
Law Enforcement Services II - (6511)
(Prerequisite: Grade of 70 or higher in each course or instructor recommendation
and the completion of competencies is needed to advance to the next level.)
*Dual Credit is proposed for courses marked with an asterisk (*) above. To earn dual credit,
students must meet the admissions requirements for Spartanburg Community College. In
addition, students earning dual credit will complete assignments that are above and beyond
normal class expectations.
