Alpha Kappa Omega Introduce #CAP to Wheatley HS Students

In October, members of Alpha Kappa Omega Sorors with four Counselors from Wheatley High School in Houston ISD took 50

Juniors and Seniors to one of Houston’s area HBCUs, Texas Southern University for Tiger Day. While at TSU, the students received

an interactive college enrollment-student service presentation, attended a college fair, ate lunch and toured the campus. The

students also learned about different sources of financial aid for incoming and current TSU students; and learned about options

for living on campus and various campus resources. The students enjoyed being entertained by the Ocean of Soul marching band

with its dancers, and the students felt welcome by the various organizations that they met.
