    Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter Celebrates Community Caregiver Impact Day

    On Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Hiram Clarke Multi-Service Center, AK Omega Sorors, and Omicron Gamma Undergraduate Sorors along with the

    Houston community recognized adult caregivers. The theme of the event “Take care of yourself so that you can take care of a love one”, focused on adult
    caregivers relaxing, being rejuvenated, and revitalizing themselves, as well as learned about resources available for caregivers.  This International Impact Day,
    part of Supreme Basileus Soror Glenda Glover’s new initiative, Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service was co-sponsored with AARP Houston and
    Chick-Fil-A.




























        A Christmas Tradition Continues

        On Saturday, December 1, 2018, the National Pan-Hellenic Council Houston with the Blue Triangle Multi-Cultural Association, Inc. hosted the 49th Annual
        Breakfast with Santa Claus.  Soror Darlene Johnson is the President of the NPH-Houston.  Every year, Director Soror Charlotte Bryant and Chairman Soror
        Gladys Goffney work with the NPH-Houston, and various other organizations to provide Christmas cheer to the families from the Near Town Community,
        Third Ward Community and local Houston ISD schools. Families were treated to breakfast cooked by Omega Phi Psi, entertained by local children
        entertainers will waiting for the arrival of Santa Claus.  Once Santa Claus arrives, the children receive toys from Santa.  The NPH-Houston acts as Santa
        Helpers to make sure every child receives a toy.
