Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter Holds “Savoring Our Pearls” Celebration for Reactivation and Transfer Sorors
On Saturday, November 3, 2018, Chairman Soror Monica Arrington and Co-Chairmen Sorors Lola Robinson and Gerri Brown of the Plugged-In
with Reactivation and Transfer committee hosted 37 AK Omega Sorors, reactivated and transfer Sorors, who joined Alpha Kappa Omega in 2017
-2018, at a retention party at Faces Ultra Lounge. The 37 Sorors were treated to a special poem for the event as well as hor d’ouevres, desserts,
pink punch and door prizes.
Alpha Kappa Omega Support the Brigid’s Hope program at the Beacon
On Saturday, November 17, 2018, Alpha Kappa Omega Sorors were asked to bring new purses to be donated to residents of The Beacon. The
Beacon is a non-profit organization that serves the Houston homeless community with daily services, civil legal aid, counseling and mentoring
and access to housing. On of their programs, Brigid’s Hope provides services to women aged 35 and older, who are transitioning from
incarceration to self-sufficiency.
