(Templars = Temple of Solomon) a highly cognitive military institution (at the time) in
cultural terms. religious and for this successively "burning" and persecuted. Some may
perhaps smile thinking about the work of Dan Brown in the Da Vinci Code, ironically
on a speech that could superficially be controversial; but the secretary of the
Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, Monsignor Angelo Amato of the Holy Office,
then the highest Vatican authority, expressed himself at the forthcoming release of the
film in 2006, with a high level excommunication and the public incitement to boycott
as happened in bookstores at the previous exit of the book.
On this last aspect, perhaps the doubt arises because of the scope of this reaction to a
fiction rich in historical errors (according to the criticism of the Catholic world) and
based on baseless concepts, on which no institution created on a solid foundation, it
would give importance.
However, the canonized truth of only a part of some Gospels, which in their re-
elaboration counts for many "arrangements", cuts and montages, is historical (chapters
and verses are a secondary introduction to the original texts - systems introduced since
the XIII century with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Steven Langton and in the XVI by
the typographer Robert Estienne who reworked these systems already in use) that for
example made us believe that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute ... and not a disciple.
Already since 1965 and then repeatedly revalued, this defamation was justified by the
Church with the word "misunderstanding".
A high price to pay for a woman who is too close to Jesus ... a Jesus who is certainly not
comfortable with the traditional coherence built only on some pieces of truth. The
problem of continuity and recognition is a profane and common
approach to all the origins of Initiatic or religious doctrines and
traditions. We need to rediscover the true value with the study, but also
in the practice of perfectional refinement with its ancient rituals. It
wants a landing point, neutral but close to an Ancient Tradition, but
above all a point of union for a strong thought, that you speak clear, that
says what others do not say or dare not say; a chivalrous ethical response,
in modern times that defends the human and spiritual need to express
itself in reality, to implement with the use of a common will, the
inevitable reestablishment of order, through a great spiritual movement that digs its
origins in the mists of time: the courage to "be" true Knights and men of the future.
