FIVE FLAGS OF PENSACOLA CHAPTER #460, (Ronald L.
Parks, Secretary). Two members of Five Flags of Pensacola Chapter
and Lexington Camp, Heroes of 76 participated in the Pearl Harbor
Remembrance Day held at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida.
The event, which has been growing from year to year was held at
Barancass National Cemetery on this important date in our nation’s
history. Besides being a guest speaker, Bro. Mark A. Kilgore, also a
member of Branch 22, Fleet Reserve Association, Pensacola, FL
conducted the “Two Bell Ceremony”. Our Chapter President Jeffery
W. Meister, Sr. presented the Toast to the Flag in his Heroes of ‘76
regalia. Those in attendance were moved by the day’s event,
especially by the outstanding toast by Brother Meister. The Chapter
is planning to expand its participation at next year’s event.

SHENANDOAH VALLEY CHAPTER #543 (Thomas D. Anderson, Secretary). The Veterans
Administration’s Medical Center, located in Martinsburg, WV houses approximately 200 veterans in its
domiciliary during the summer months, but in the winter it averages around 400. To help with the personal
hygiene needs of the residents, the Sojourners and Camp Followers of Shenandoah Valley Chapter #543
collect items to be donated to the residents. In the picture are some of the items already collected, to be added
to others still being collected. Everything will be delivered to the medical center on December 5, in time for
the start of the Christmas Season.
