46. ROZALIMAS FOREST PARK AND ZIGMANTIŠKIAI STONE WITH MARY’S FOOT
Rozalimas forest nature education and recreational
park established near Rozalimas town with its recreati-
onal hiking trail is intended for acquaintance with Ro-
zalimas pine forest, a vast range of stands, the land’s
mythological history, and other interesting objects.
The educational trail is about 4,5 km long. It stretches
through the forest, the massif of which extends north
of Rosalimas along the road 149 Smilgiai-Pakruojis.
The route is equipped with the necessary infrastruc-
ture: 18 information stands, rest areas, and arrows.
Zigmantiškės stone is situated about 2 km northwest
of Rosalimas. The legend tells of the apparition of St
Virgin Mary who left this “foot” to shepherds.

47. STAČIŪNAI WINDMILL

The mill was built in 1890. In Soviet times, it was turned
into a warehouse and did not serve its original purpo-
se. In 2004, the mill was restored. It is one of a few
surviving windmills whose ground floor is construc-
ted using stone masonry and has decorative elements,
while the others are wooden. It is the only windmill
in Pakruojis district with an inner cap rotation mecha-
nism. Currently, the exposition of the milling equip-
ment, the photos of Stačiūnai community life, various
folk household items are displayed, travelling exposi-
tions are organized, and educational programmes are
offered.
