CAFÉ “PAS ZITĄ”
The family cafe “Pas Zitą” has been located in the heart
of Baisogala town since 2005. Three generations of
the Šimkevičiai work here. Culinary secrets are passed
down from generation to generation and are impro-
ved every time. In January this year, the family cafe
enlarged and opened a confectionery unit producing
restaurant-level desserts.

During the ethnographic research conducted at Kur-
tuvėnai Regional Park, recipes of traditional dishes
of this region were collected, the most interesting of
which was matured ham. It is made by the hostess of
the tavern “Kryžkelė”, to whom the following unique
recipe is entrusted.
This exclusive dish is very full, especially suitable
after a hike or excursion. The ham is served with a hot
potatoe, kastinys (sour cream and butter blend), and
cabbage. This dish has been prepared in Kurtuvėnai
for the major holidays since long ago. The dish is
served with a presentation and stories.

KURŠĖNAI SWEET ROLL CAKE
During the tasting, you will get acquainted with the
history of Kuršėnai as well as its sweet roll cake – the
