ŠIAULIAI – WITH LOVE FOR THE FAMILY
In Šiauliai, you can feel like in a zoo – foxes, oxen,
and butterflies “live” in the city’s streets, and a huge
chameleon “settled” in a tree. The renovated part of
the boulevard, abundant in artistic accents, fountains,
playgrounds and, of course, the children’s beloved
“Trys nykštukai” (“Three Dwarfs”), is a convenient pla-
ce to push prams.
The museums of cats, bicycles, chocolate, angels, ra-
ilway, police and more are real lessons of history and

The Saulė terrace is a multifunctional open-air leisure
space in Šiauliai. It is equipped with separate spaces:
children’s, sports, cinema and events, restaurant, and
the recreation space. This is the largest free children’s
playground in Šiauliai!

RESPITE BY JURAKALNIS
The respite place is equipped by Jurakalnis, which,
for the convenience of visitors, has benches and a
large parking lot, and on the way to the outcrop and
spur, there is a gazebo and a fireplace. Jurakalnis
spur is a typical relief shape formed by linear ero-
sion. The linear erosion process and its consequen-
ces – the very erosive spur, gullies and ravines, where
springs emerge and gush – are clearly visible here.
Geologically most valuable are outcrops of rocks of
the Jurassic period, which due to intensive erosion
are naturally available for explorations. From the ob-
servation tower visitors can admire a wonderful view
to the valley of the Venta and its terraces.
