In the 21st Century, technology has been developed and change citizens’
lifestyle rapidly. Then, learning-oriented technologies were emerged. With the
support of wireless technology, palm-sized computers are become explosive
growth as main media to communicate in multi-directional ways, i.e. online
websites, mobile applications, and offline activity like traditional radio and television
broadcasting media, which result as variety of media providers, along with media
consumers that have more choices to express, create and publish media easily.
These behaviors resulted in the increasing of media contents, that is useful for
media consumers, presenting facts as the main part of contents, and harmful for
media consumers, if media contents were
created with personal criticism, or inappropriate
contents for children and youth, which can guide
children and youth to behave inappropriately.
As a result, after digital transformation, media is
become the one of the most important
competencies for every population to be able to
think, analyze, and categorize media according
to the performance of individuals for accessibility,
understanding, interpreting, evaluating, and creating
media and information in good manners, non-
nominating, and usefulness for educating and
living in the real life, from personal, family,
community, and society.
