DI - 288 Diagnosis - Diagnosis-fault diagnosis of electronic and electrical parts

Failure phenomenon Phenomenon description

While turning the ignition switch to "ON" position and
connecting the small lamp switch, all is normal except that a
Front left or front right position lamp or license plate lamp is
position lamp or license plate lamp is not lit. Take the front
not lit
left position lamp as an example. The front right position lamp
or license plate lamp shall be inspected by using same method.
Diagnosis procedure
1. Check the position lamp bulb.

a. Check whether the connector of front left combination lamp gets loose or falls off.
b. Dismantle the position lamp bulb in front left combination lamp.

c. The positive and negative poles of bulb are connected to
the positive and negative poles of battery respectively.
Check if the bulb can be on.

Check if the result is ok?
Yes>go to Step 2.

NO>replace with the same spec bulb.
2. Check the power circuit of front left position lamp.

a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the connector B004 of left front combination lamp.

c. Ignition switch: ON, turn on the small lamp switch.
d. Measure the voltage between the rear left combination
lamp connector B004 terminal 8 and the ground with the
multimeter in voltage gear.
Standard voltage:

Multimeter connecting terminal Standard value

B004(8)-grounding Storage battery voltage

Check if the result is ok?

Yes>go to Step 3.
NO>repair or replace the open harness.
