Clutch fault IN
Overview
1. The clutch is installed in the clutch house between the engine and transmission. The clutch assembly is DI
mounted on the rear plane of flywheel. The clutch consists of the clutch disc assembly and clutch plate
assembly.
EG
2. The clutch installed is diaphragm spring clutch which is single piece dry friction clutch. The
diaphragm clamps the spring. The clutch disc assembly has torsional absorber and vibration
absorbing damper. The clutch disc uses high-quality environmental asbestos-free friction material. TR
3. The clutch is the control mechanism for transferring and separating power It transfers the power from
the generator to the transmission so as to smooth combine the engine power with the transmission device or AX
separate them temporarily to realize the start, parking and shifting of vehicle.
4. When the vehicle starts, the assemblies of clutch leaf and plate gradually get together The engine FR
power transfers to the vehicle transmission system through the friction among the flywheel, assemblies of
clutch leaf and plate to start the vehicle.
ST
5. During driving, the driver can step down or release the clutch pedal as needed so as to temporarily
separate and gradually combine the assembly of clutch leaf and assembly of clutch plate, which cuts off or
BR
transfer the engine power to the transmission.
6. When shifting, the clutch can temporarily cut off the dynamic transmission between the driving
system and engine to reduce the impact between the gears during the shifting to realize smooth shifting. BW
Precautions
1. The clutch pressure plate cannot be cleaned by using gasoline. EL
2. Do not use oil or liquid to clean the separating bearing as there is lubricant grease.
3. When clutch is installed, it is necessary to properly lubricate the friction plate spline and
transmission input shaft spline by using temperature-pressure resistant grease, in order to ensure that the
friction plate can move freely on transmission input shaft spline. Excessive grease will cause the friction
disc slipping.
4. When the friction plate is worn to the specified wear limit, the friction plate assembly should be
replaced in time to avoid clutch slips and scratches the surfaces of pressure plate and flywheel.
5. When repairing the clutch assembly, do not use sand grinding or dry brush or compressed air to clean
so as to avoid flakes. Wipe with dipped cloth or use vacuum cleaner to clean.
