TR-48 Transmission and Control Mechanism - Manual Transmission

8. Remove the transmission

a. Remove the fixing nut of bracket for exhaust piping
and remove the bracket.

b. Remove the air piping and fixing bolts of piping
support, and remove the water piping and air piping fixed
on the transmission.

c. Remove the fixing nut of bracket for shifter flexible
shaft and remove the shaft bracket.

d. Support the transmission with the undercarriage.
e. Remove the fixing nut of transmission, move the
transmission backwards and lower the undercarriage out
of the transmission assembly.

9. Install the transmission
a. Lift the transmission assembly with the undercarriage
and install the shaft of the transmission into the splined
hole of the clutch driven plate.

b. Align the holes for fixing bolts of transmission, push forward
into place, install the fixing nut of transmission, and tighten.
c. Install the bracket for shifter flexible shaft, install the
fixing nut and fasten it.

d. Install the fixing bolts of water and air piping bracket
mounted on the transmission.
