DIAGNOSIS-AUDIO SYSTEM 62-255

Diagnosis Procedure

1. Check the sound unit settings

(a). Ignition switch:"ON".
(b). Press down the power switch "PWR" of sound unit. 62
(c). In the boot state, if shortly press PWRS, it will enter the mute function.
(d). Turn the sound unit volume to over 10VOL.

Check if the loudspeaker makes the sound?
Yes>the sound unit settings of CD/DVD are not correct.
No >Back to Step 2.

2. Check the loudspeaker

(a). Ignition switch:"LOCK".
(b). Remove all speakers. (Refer to "Chapter 45 Audio System--Loudspeaker Assembly,
Replacement")
(c). Check whether the loudspeaker cone is damaged.

(d). Check the resistance between the No.1
and the No.2 pins of the left and right front
loudspeakers J05 and G05 with multimeter.
Standard resistance：

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter
J05(1) - J05(2) 4Ω

G05(1) - G05(2) 4Ω

(e). Check the resistance between the No.1
and the No.2 pins of the left and right rear
loudspeaker I02 and H02 with multimeter.
Standard resistance：

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter

I02(1) - I02(2) 4Ω
H02(1) - H02(2) 4Ω

Is the result normal?
Yes>To step 3.
No >replace corresponding speakers.
