3. Check coolant temperature sensor
(a). Ignition switch:"LOCK".
(b). Check whether the coolant temperature sensor and connector are correctly and
firmly installed, check whether the coolant temperature sensor harness is intact.
(c). Remove coolant temperature sensor.
NOTICE:
Removing the coolant temperature sensor shall be performed under the cold state (or
water temperature ≤ 40 ℃ ).
(d). Measure the resistance values of coolant
temperature sensor under different
water temperatures by multimeter, and
the reference value shall conform to the
following table.
Temperatures
(℃ ) 50 85 110 115
Resistance 226 64± 2 6
values(Ω) ±35 8 28 ±2
Is the result normal?
Yes>To step4.
No >Replace coolant temperature sensor.
4. Check the coolant temperature sensor circuit
(a). gnition switch:"OFF".
(b). Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector E03, disconnect the engine
ECU connector.
(c). Measure the harness continuity between
No.1 pin of coolant temperature sensor
connector and No.46 pin of engine
ECU,and the harness continuity between
No.2 pin of E03 and No.43 pin of E01.
