WARRANTY POLICY & PROCEDURES MANUAL
13. PARTS AND ACCESSORY WARRANTY
**12 MONTHS / 20,000 KMS**
Parts that were sold and installed by the dealer and found to be defective will be replaced free of charge
to the customer. Over the counter Parts that were only sold by the dealer will have the parts replaced
free of charge. However, the customer will cover the labour costs.
Foton Accessories fitted prior to the vehicle warranty start date are warrantable for the duration of the
contractual warranty, provided that they; -
were correctly installed,
have not been altered or modified,
have been correctly used/maintained and cared for, and
are repaired at an authorised FOTON Dealer.
Supporting documentation (i.e. a copy of the original invoice showing the customer has paid for the part)
is to be emailed to: warranty@foton.nz
Please note the claim number, registration, mileage and VIN when the warranty claim is submitted.
14. WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS
14.1 Technical Report List
All Driveline components
All Electronic Control Units (ECUs)
Wiring Harness and/or repairs
Paint/Body Repairs (include photos and quote)
Total repairs > $500 (excluding GST)
All sublet invoices
All documentation required by Cummins for engine warranty repairs
14.2 Repairs Requiring PWA
The following repairs require PWA with a Tech Report:
Any cracking of assembly (e.g. gearbox case, final drive, suspensions, etc)
Transmission repairs (Automatic and Manual)
Warranty repairs > $500 (excluding GST)
Paint and Panel repairs
Glass, Trim and Appearance repairs > $200 (including Air Bags and Seat Belts)
Out-of-Warranty claims
Open Labour Codes > 0.5 hours (9999999999)
Late claim submission
Parts wear and tear (i.e. clutch, brake linings, etc.)
Predelivery – missing items claims
Goodwill claims
14.3 Warranty Claim Guidelines
1) Related Works - Unless otherwise indicated, the warranty repair work includes the assembly
and disassembly of other related parts as well as necessary inspection, adjustment, cleaning,
lubrication and other accessory works.
