HYDRAULIC TORQUE CONVERTER

REPLACEMENT
1 . Remove the transmission assembly (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission（6HP21)-

Replacement, transmission assembly”).

2 . Remove the hydraulic torque converter.
(a) Remove the hydraulic torque converter from
the transmission assembly.
NOTICE

• •Take care not to damage the oil seal.
• Take care to prevent the falling of
hydraulic torque converter.
• The oil pan can’t be loaded.

3 . Refit the hydraulic torque converter.
(a) Refit the hydraulic torque converter onto the
transmission assembly.
NOTICE

• Take care not to damage the oil seal.
• Take care to prevent the falling of
hydraulic torque converter.
• Take care to avoid pinching of fingers.

4 . Check the mounting position of hydraulic
torque converter.
41 (a) Use the tool to measure the distance from the
transmission housing end to the pressure
torque converter bolt hole surface.
Distance <46.709mm
If not in place, rotate and push forward the
hydraulic torque converter till it is fitted at the
correct position.

5 . Refit the transmission assembly (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission（6HP21)

- Replacement, transmission assembly”).
