INPUT SHAFT OIL SEAL

REPLACEMENT
1 . Remove the transmission assembly (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission (6HP21)

- Replacement, transmission assembly”).
2 . Remove the hydraulic torque converter (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission
(6HP21) - Replacement, hydraulic torque converter”.

3 . Remove the input shaft oil seal.
(a) Use the special tool to remove the input shaft
oil seal.
NOTICE

Take care not to damage the input shaft and oil
pump.

4 . Refit the input shaft oil seal.
(a) Use the special tool to refit the input shaft oil
seal.

NOTICE

The oil seal shall be installed with the lettered
surface facing up.

(b) Use the rubber hammer to fit the oil seal in 41
place.

5 . Refit the hydraulic torque converter (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission (6HP21)

- Replacement, hydraulic torque converter”.)
6 . Refit the transmission assembly (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission (6HP21) -

Replacement, transmission assembly”).
