OUTPUT SHAFT OIL SEAL (4WD)

REPLACEMENT
1 . Remove the transmission assembly (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission (6HP21)

- Replacement, transmission assembly”).
2 . Remove the hydraulic torque converter (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission
(6HP21) - Replacement, hydraulic torque converter”).

3 . Remove the output shaft oil seal.
(a) Use the special tool to remove the output
shaft big oil seal.
NOTICE

• Take care not to damage the housing and
output shaft.
• The output shaft big oil seal is disposable
and must be replaced once removed.

4 . Refit the output shaft oil seal.
(a) Put the output shaft big oil seal at the
mounting position.

NOTICE

The oil seal shall be installed with the lettered
surface facing up.

(b) Fit the output shaft big oil seal in place with
the special tool.

5 . Refit the hydraulic torque converter (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission (6HP21)
- Replacement, hydraulic torque converter”.)
