OUTPUT SHAFT OIL SEAL (2WD)

REPLACEMENT
1 . Remove the transmission assembly (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission (6HP21)

- Replacement, transmission assembly”).
2 . Remove the hydraulic torque converter (refer to “Chapter 41 Transmission
(6HP21) - Replacement, hydraulic torque converter”.)

3 . Remove the output shaft oil seal.
(a) Use the chisel to beat out the groove of the
locking nut.

(b) Locate the transmission at “P” gear and
use the special tool to remove the locking nut.

41 (c) After the locking nut is removed, use the
magnet to remove metal chippings on the
output shaft.
