63-14 SEAT BELT - RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY

RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY

OVERHAUL

1 . Remove the Seat Belt Assembly (Refer to "Chapter 88. Seat belt - driver's
seat/front passenger seat belt, replacement")

2 . Check the Retractor
(a) Slowly incline the retractor and check the
63 locking of the fabric belt.

• The belt shall not be locked if the
inclination angle of the retractor is
below 15°in all directions.
• It shall be locked if the inclination angle
of the retractor is greater than 45°. If
the situation doesn't meet the standard,
replace a new driver's seat/front
passenger seat belt retractor assembly.
(Refer to "Chapter 63. Seat belt -
retractor assembly, overhaul")
(b) Check the belt locking function.
• The fabric belt shall be locked when it
is pulled quickly.

NOTICE
If any defect is detected, replace a new seat belt assembly. Don't disassemble any
part of the seat belt retractor. If the situation doesn't meet the standard, replace a new
driver's seat/front passenger seat belt retractor assembly. (Refer to "Chapter 63. Seat
