4. Check The Harness Disconnection

(a). Disconnect SR ECU connector C27 and clock spring C18.

(b). Check the resistance value between clock
spring connector C18 and SRS ECU
connector C27.
Standard resistance: (check whether there
is an open circuit)

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter
C18(1) - C27(10) ≤ 2 Ω

C18(2) - C27(11) ≤ 2 Ω

Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 5.
No >Repair or replace the harness.

5. Check clock spring short circuit to ground

(a). Confirm to turn ignition switch off, and disconnect battery terminal negative for more
than 90s.
(b). Disconnect clock spring connector C18 and driver airbag connector.

(c). Check the resistance value between clock
spring connector C18 and driver airbag
connector.
Standard resistance: (check whether there
is a short circuit)

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter

C18(1) - Grounding ≥ 1MΩ
C18(2) - Grounding ≥ 1MΩ

Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 6.
No >Repair or replace the harness.
