7. Remove the main bearing cap, crankshaft and cylinder block
(a). Remove the flywheel housing (for the longitudinal engine).
(b). Remove the rear covering plate (for the horizontal engine).
(c). Remove the thermostat housing subassembly & water pump unit.
(d). Remove the crankshaft rear oil seal unit (for the longitudinal engine).
(e). Remove the crankshaft rear oil seal unit (for the horizontal engine).
(f). Remove the oil pan weldment (for the longitudinal engine).
(g). Remove the oil pan weldment (for the horizontal engine).
(h). Remove the engine oil pump unit.
(i). Remove the oil pan upper body.
(j). Remove the intake manifold subassembly.
(k). Remove the turbocharger subassembly. 12C

(l). Remove the power pump bracket (for the
longitudinal engine).
• Remove these 3 power pump bracket
fixing bolts (arrow direction) and the
power pump bracket.

(m). Remove the engine right mounting bracket
(for the longitudinal engine).
• Remove these 3 engine right mounting
bracket fixing bolts (arrow direction) and
the engine right mounting bracket.

(n). Remove the coarse oil-gas separator subassembly.
(o). Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
(p). Remove the engine oil cooler.
(q). Remove the timing chain.
(r). Remove the valve chamber cover.
(s). Remove the cylinder head.
