(w). Remove the crankshaft signal panel.
• Remove these 3 crankshaft signal panel
fixing bolts (arrow direction) and the
crankshaft signal panel.

8. Check the runout of main journal 12C
(a). Use the micrometer to measure the radial
runout on the main journal, slowly rotate
the crankshaft, and if the radial runout
exceeds its limit, replace the crankshaft.
Runout of main journal: 0.03 mm

9. Measure the axial clearance of the
crankshaft
(a). Fix the micrometer and the universal
micrometer bracket onto the cylinder block
using the bolt.
(b). Push the crankshaft toward the micrometer,
and calibrate the micrometer to “0”.
(c). Press the crankshaft in the reverse
direction and read the value.
fuwx12C083 Axial clearance:
Standard value: 0.14 ~ 0.3 mm
Wear limit: 0.3 mm

10. Check the roundness of main journal
(a). Use the external micrometer to measure
the roundness. If any journal of the main
journal is seriously or unevenly worn to
exceed the limits, the crankshaft shall be
replaced.
Standard value: 0.005 mm
