GENERAL INSPECTION

1. Check the engine oil pressure switch
(a). Check the engine oil pressure switch for cracks and scratches; if any, immediately
replace it.
(b). Check the wiring harness plug for damages; if any, immediately replace it.
WARNING:
•Before checking the engine oil pressure switch, ensure that the engine oil level is normal.
•The hot engine and hot engine oil may cause serious scalds.
NOTICE:
Ensure that the engine oil level is normal and that the coolant temperature reaches 90。.

(c). As shown in the figure, fit the engine oil

1 pressure tester into the threaded hole ④ of
3 the engine oil pressure switch.
(d). Fit the engine oil pressure switch ② onto
the engine oil pressure tester ① , and
connect the engine oil pressure switch
connector.
(e). Connect the engine oil pressure tester to

the vehicle body.
fuwx12C180 (f). Raise the engine. When the engine
revolution is higher than 1500 rpm and the
engine oil pressure is lower than 1.2bar, if
the warning lamp ③ is not lit, the engine oil
pressure switch shall be replaced. When the
engine revolution is higher than 1500pump
and the engine oil pressure is higher than
1.6bar, if the warning lamp ③ remains lit, it is
necessary to replace the engine oil pressure
switch.

(g). After inspection of oil pressure, shut down the engine and take down the engine oil
pressure tester.
(h). Screw the engine oil pressure switch into the mounting hole, and tighten it with the
torque of 20±3 N•m.
(i). Start the engine, and check the engine oil pressure switch for oil leakage.
NOTICE:
In the case of any leakage, Install the engine oil pressure switch.

2. Check the engine oil level
(a). Park the vehicle on a level ground.
(b). Confirm that the vehicle is cold.
