George Shepperson in conversation with the late Emeritus Professor
Colin Baker and his wife Shirley, whom George affectionately referred
to as ‘my esteemed fellow philatelist and deltiology friend’.

George always delighted in visits from former Malawi missionary,
ordained elder of the Church of Scotland, and staunch feminist activist the
late Anne Hepburn with her daughter Margaret, a former student of
George’s at Edinburgh University. Anne was married to fellow Malawi
missionary & pro-independence activist, the late Rev Hamish Hepburn.
