at a moderate level. The exporting companies managers agreed with having organizational

change as a whole and in each of these aspects at a high level ; demise of command-and-

control, emphasis on teamwork, pre-eminence of technology, embraces of networking and
new work process.

The agricultural products exporting companies managers with different type of

products, operating time, annual incomes, numbers of employee, agreed differently with
having operational environment in globalization era (p < 0.05). And the agricultural products

exporting companies managers with different operating time, annual incomes, numbers of

employee agreed differently with having organizational change (p < 0.05).

The impacts of operational environment in the globalization era had relationships
with and effects on organizational change. When each aspects were considered, the

following were found: (1) The operational environment in the globalization era in terms of

product variety had positive relationships with and effects on embraces of networking, new
work process and pre-eminence of technology. (2) The operational environment in the

globalization era in terms of difficulty estimating aggregate demand had positive

relationships with and effects on organizational change in terms of embraces of demise of
command-and-control, embraces of networking, new work process and pre-eminence of

technology. (3) The operational environment in the globalization era in terms of increasing

technology support had positive relationships with and effects on organizational change in
terms of demise of command-and-control, new work process and pre-eminence of

technology. (4) The operational environment in the globalization era in terms of having great

difficulty in distribution had positive relationships with and effects on organizational change

in terms of demise of command-and-control and emphasis on teamwork.
In conclusion, the operational environment in the globalization era effects on

organizational change. The results of this study could be used for applying in adaptation,

leads to survival in fluctuated environment. In addition, this contribution is also for internal
improvement of a firm that aims to build up capability in competition and sustain

competitive advantage over the local and international competitors.
