RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, THE FACEBOOK CODE
Before fully diving into the rules of engagement for Facebook, let me add that Facebook is
CONSTANTLY changing.
Earlier this year, although many DO NOT believe #hashtags are important on Facebook, I was
using 3 per post with GREAT results. NOW that has changed. Here is a list of some COMMON
and some UNCOMMON known tips for your Facebook Page (FYI, also to be used on your
personal page as well)
Facebook will give you a HIGHER engagement when you do the following (FYI if you don’t
already know, Facebook Algorithms typically only allow 7%-or less of your friends list to see
your posts, do the math, it’s sad)
1. Utilize Facebook Lives
2. When doing Facebook Lives putting your phone horizontally
3. Using the “fancy’ backgrounds for shorter posts
4. Emojis (use more of them)
5. Engage (LIKE) and COMMENT on more peoples posts
6. Use at least 2 #hashtags and make sure your posts are PUBLIC
Reach people in a NEW way with the SnapChat like Facebook feature. You’ll get to see
the people that view your photo(s) and what I have noticed is there are a lot more
people that NEVER like my post be NOSEY on “MY STORY” Add some text, add more
than one photo, and have FUN with it! Do this DAILY!
Before we DIVE further into tips, let me go over a few things NOT TO DO!
Now, many again will FIGHT me on these, or say BUT THEY WORK, but let’s be honest, you don’t
like it when people do it to you, so don’t do it to others!
