Message from the Editor—By Erica McGraw
Life is a great process that we all go through. We are born into this world where we need nurturing
and love. We have all gone through this process of growing into the men and women that we are
today, though some may have had to grow up quicker then others due to life situations, you made
it! There is a cycle of life and as new life enters into this world, we have to nurture that life. This
edition of Kingdom News focuses on our youth and young adults. The articles in this issue mainly
focus on the youth or young adults in some way; we have a young lady who loves to write fiction
stories related to the real life issues she faces, we have a couple young men who are blazing out in-
to the world of business with great drive and passion. We have programs that have been estab-
lished to help improve the lives of those children and youth to help them in their life's journey.
Also, in this edition, I reached out to two individuals that have a passion for youth and have promi-
nent roles in their communities, that are positioned to help make change. Both of these individu-
als were asked to share their views on the concerns that our youth if facing today; both stories are
exactly what I was seeking when I reached out to them.
I would also like to congratulate Cover Girls in the Church for the 10th Anniversary of the book
that actually became a movement though various teachings and even a stage play. I would also
like to thank Apostle D. Anthony Robinson for providing us with Leader’s Corner in this issue.
Personally, I am excited about this issue because we are now international. The Kingdom is not
just in one area, but all over and in this edition we get the opportunity to learn how Pastor Iyeyemi
from England is fulfilling her calling to help the orphans and widows. It is my prayer that this edi-
tion of Kingdom News blesses you!
The Leader’s Corner
By Apostle D. Anthony Robinson
I would like to encourage the 21 century leader to remain focused on what is in your heart to accomplish. I would
st
not be honest if I didn’t tell you that there will be some challenges. The road to success is paved with certain lessons
that you will learn along the journey ahead of you. The Bible encourages us in Habakkuk 2:2 that we should clearly
write our God-given vision on paper so that those that are connected to you will be able to successfully assist and fol-
low after you.
Creating vision is never easy and can’t be done alone, because a successful vision, be it ministry or business, should
eventually turn into your legacy. Understand that every day you should work on your vision, even when it appears dif-
ficult. Focus on the low hanging fruit first, meaning that we should partner with people that have already done what
you are planning to do. If you are looking to write a book or to start a business or ministry, begin with sitting with
those that have succeeded and also those that have failed in endeavors similar to your own.
Most success stories begin with many failures that we don’t often hear about. All it takes is that one “yes,” that one
person that has been where you are now and felt how you feel now to open the door to every dream and desire that
you may have. We all need someone that believes in us, even when we struggle to believe in ourselves.
Even as I pen this letter I’m reminded of just how far I’ve come. But as I look at the journey ahead, I remind myself to
keep first things first and do what others aren’t willing to do.
Every gift or talent comes from God. When you trust God, and stay focused on what he has told us, there is no way
that you can fail. Proverbs 16:3 encourages us that our plans will be established when we commit them to the Lord.
He will work everything out according to what is best for you. Have faith in his plan for you, stay strong, and keep
praying.
