Key Managed Care Message:
Accounts benefit by utilizing Transitions® adaptive lenses for their Managed Care patients. The technological superiority
of the products, and ability to simplify the available offerings, provides the ECP an opportunity to maximize their
patients’ Managed Care benefits while increasing their practice profitability.
As you close your sales call, it’s important to remind the ECP of the following key Managed Care opportunities:
Encourage ECP to always check for fully-covered Photochromic benefits, as this is one of the more common benefits
employers will negotiate (along with poly and no-glare).
Photochromic penetration in Managed Care is much higher than private pay, so there is no reason not to recommend
Transitions adaptive lenses to every Managed Care patient; they are likely to buy, especially given the brand-name
recognition.
Specifically, VSP patients benefit from the VSP Transitions Satisfaction Guarantee; even if they have doubts, this
provides them the confidence to try Transitions.
