Chop and I headed onto the station and did their Mt.Gill 4wd track...WOW...simply WOW! What
am amazing place, its now a conservation park so quite green, and the owner indicated that they
do get more rainfall on that side of the ranges. The track was mostly through the old creek beds,
but the last climb across the mountains over to Mt. Gill itself was simply outstanding. A tough
tricky in some places, but the views were simply second to none! Well worth it if you are in the
area. A secluded camp, a hot shower in the morning - a quick call the mechanic (of course!) and
we then headed out towards Leigh Creek for a few supplies and a delicious burger lunch.

We didn't have plans past this point, but in the end decided to tackle the Strzelecki track, with the
idea to circle back to Arkaroola. However when we realized how far north we were, we decided to
continue on and head over to Cameron's Corner, which was missed out on a prior trip. Some very
fascinating bore's were enjoyed, the birdlife was great to see as well, although we did have to en-
dure a dust storm which started the middle of the night till lunchtime the next morning, packing up
in that was unpleasant and we were thankful for having a small setup. A video message was
passed on from the publican at Cameron's Corner, to the publican at Silverton.....we won't repeat
it here, but use your imagination!

Silverton was celebrating i think it was 150 years so there was a fair bit of activity occurring, yes
the Donkeys were still there, although for safe keeping they were locked up in the community hall

We then had a big day driving down to Broken Hill, and towards Mt.
                                     Napier in Victoria.
After a lazy start the next morning we climbed Mt Napier, took in the
views, and serenity and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

We visited a few other volcanic areas of interest whilst we where
there, including the Byaduk Caves which you can climb down into -
although its steep, and not well defined, so I would be careful with
your footing. But an amazing little place to visit, that we again had to
ourselves. Only disappointment was that the information signs were
sun faded so barely legible. We had a lovely camp by the river and
were able to enjoy the birdlife, and koala's. We then headed home the
                                     following day.

We had an amazing trip, and cannot wait for the next one!
