ENGLISH WEEK – 23 RD APRIL to 26 TH APRIL

The English Literary Week was conducted in Gulf Indian High School from 23 April 2018 to

26 April 2018. with myriad activities. The aim was to infuse the students with appreciation,
understanding, love and usage of the English language in their daily life.

GRADE 1 - PICK AND TALK

Students were provided with the topics beforehand and asked to prepare a speech, on their favourite
author. Most of the children showed immense interest and diligently prepared a speech with the
help of parents. Many children used visual aids while presenting their speech. The event was
attended by the HOD of English Mrs. Arshi Nasar, Supervisor Mrs. Lakshmi Venugopal,
Coordinator Mrs. Dawn Suni, Teachers and Assistant Teachers of all Grade 1 classes.

GRADE 2 - SHOW AND TELL

Students were asked to prepare and speak about their favourite story with props. Children exhibited
beautifully their speaking skills and wonderfully presented with props. It was a delight to the eyes
to see the children displaying their props and wonderfully narrating the story.

GRADE 3 - CHARACTER DRAMATIZATION

Students were dressed up as their favourite literary character and spoke about the same confidently.
The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm by showcasing their hidden talents in
creativity and enactment skills.
