12 TH APRIL 2018: PALM PRINTING, LEAF PRINTING & HEALTHY STORY BOARD
Grade 1
Students did hand-printing activity and the main objective was to spread awareness about the
importance of trees. The children dipped their palms in paint and they printed the impressions of
their palms and made an adorable handprint tree. The children were surprised to see the prints of
their little palms on paper. They were amazed and delighted, and admired their priceless pieces of
art! The hand print trees were imprinted forever in the minds of the students through their little
palms!
Grade 2
Students did Leaf Print Activity and the objective was to observe the different shapes, sizes, and
patterns of leaves as they make leaf prints. The Teacher demonstrated with one of the collected
leaves how to do the leaf rubbing. Students learnt the art techniques through this fun activity, but
it’s also a great chance to learn about nature, to notice how differently leaves can be shaped, to
take note of what is similar and what is different about the leaves they are using.
Grade 3
Students created a story board with pictures of fruits and vegetables and included a summary to
develop an awareness among them regarding the importance of healthy eating and staying fit.
Students drafted a story board with cutouts and pictures of fruits and vegetables and they
presented role play about the benefits of fruits and vegetables with their partners. Most of the
students came up and spoke about healthy eating habits. The presentation was highly
prepossessing and thought provoking.
