 223  ‘1.   “Praiseworthy is the person who fears Hashem and
 greatly desires His mitzvot” (Tehilim 112:1).  In this
 chapter I will list twenty statements that deal with
 the enormity of the reward for those who discipline
 themselves and guard the words that come out of
 their mouths.
 243  ‘2.   (Mishle  21:23)  “One  who  guards  his  mouth  and
 tongue protects his soul from sufferings.”  In this
 chapter I will list twenty statements describing the
 extensiveness  of  the  damage  and  the  severity  of
 the  ruination  and  punishment  that  will  befall  the
 person who stumbles into this sin of using forbidden
 speech.
 257  ‘3.   A call to guarding one’s tongue, and the remedy of
 Teshuvah available to those who have slipped into
 this sin.
 263  ‘4.   Some  words  of  encouragement  to  accept  the
 responsibility of mitzvot correctly.
