RESEARCH BACKGROUND
The fashion industry is dynamic and evolving, with the ability to constantly adapt to
changing trends and consumer tastes. Instagram has brought about major changes
in how fashion brands interact with their target audience and market their products.
Among these platforms, Instagram has emerged as a significant player, revolutionizing
the dynamics of the fashion industry through its visual-centric approach and wide user
base. The specific impact of Instagram on the fashion industry remains a topic of great
interest and exploration.

METHODOLOGY
BA (Hons) in Fashion Design Qualitative research methods were used to explore the impact of Instagram on the
Department of Design and Architecture fashion industry. Qualitative methods allow for a deeper exploration of participants'
experiences, perceptions, and motivations, thereby providing a deeper understanding
of the phenomenon being studied. The research consisted of two main phases: data
collection and analysis. Qualitative data was collected through in-depth interviews
with key stakeholders in the fashion industry, including fashion brand representatives,
OBJECTIVES influencers, and consumers, to delve deeper into their thoughts and experiences
regarding Instagram.

I am CHOI Tsz Ying, Zoe, a creative fashion design graduate skilled in design,
merchandising, and digital marketing acquired through studies, workplace-integrated
learning, and multiple internships. I am well-versed in managing projects, planning
events, and maintaining social media platforms. My hobby is painting, and I design a
series of clothings based on the content of my paintings. The work goal is to become a
Splashier. Because I am interested in many jobs and want to try different jobs. My FYP
supervisor is Dr CHAN Man Hin, Eve.
