these reasons, I included a lot of discussion about these issues in my
PhD thesis.
When flipping through online newspapers on social media sites, many
socioeconomic problems are displayed every day. The year 2050 has
witnessed the increasing growth of the world's population, especially
in urban areas. It is estimated that the world's population has now
reached 15 billion people. A variety of emerging technologies further
create the growth of new industries and career sectors. The increase in
the world's population also affects climate and weather changes.
However, this situation is balanced by the presence of renewable and
more sustainable energy technologies. According to the latest statistics,
the GDP of Asian countries is growing very rapidly due to positive
economic developments involving China and India. They are followed
by North America and Europe, and finally the rest of the world (Kohli
et al., 2011).
After packing my bag, I met with my study supervisor, Dr. Hamdi. A
good and gentle person, knowledgeable in economics and Islamic
economics. He is an excellent student in his studies at every level, and
because of this he was offered the position of a senior lecturer at the
Faculty of Economy, London School of Economics, which is where I
studied. His expertise and interest are in the field of zakat management
studies. He has published many journal articles related to Islamic
economics, especially on the topic of zakat, and he is active in many
discussions regarding economic problems at the global level. I label
him as an example of a great Muslim scholar who takes care of
manners and morals. He has shared a lot of inspirational ideas with
me.
