families. Veterans in
our hospice program
also receive:
• Care provided by a team of experts, many of whom are
veterans themselves, trained to address:
• Service-connected injuries and illnesses
• Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
• Survivor’s guilt
• Depression
• Substance abuse
• Assistance with recovery of military discharge papers
• Help in identifying veteran-speci c bene ts and connecting
to additional community services

• Special recognition ceremonies including family & friends
• Assistance in planning of military memorials
• Access to grief support groups and bereavement program
for patients’ families
