     EXECUTIVE SUMMARY                        Seafood-based food processing industry is one of the component of
                                              Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) that require upgrade in term of
                                              management,  cleaning  practice,  work  safety  and  productivity.
                                              Despite  of  the  strong  market  potential,  limitation  in  optimising
                                              production scale and lack of technology application in production
                                              line limit the company’s growth.                                   32

                                              The  project  executed  focused  on  reducing  operation  cost  and
                                              increasing  daily  production  quantity  of  the  fish  cracker.  Steamed
                                              cooker  fabricated  was  equipped  with  insulator  on  the  inside  to
                                              reduce  the  usage  of  energy  whilst  cutting  machine  developed
                                              increased efficiency on fish cracker cutting process.

                                              Arrangement in the production line was designed in consideration of
                                              a  more  systematic  yet  practical  production  process.  At  the  same
                                              time, the staff were also exposed to awareness on work safety and
                                              the need of clean process control for food industry. Solution made
                                              available by this project is an initiative to support SME to increase
                                              their competitiveness in the increasingly competitive business.
