Objectives 1. to gather reviews on:
a. Management system occupational safety and health (osh) in the workplace;
b. level of understanding of osh in mining and quarrying sector, which involves the management
and employees;
c. level of compliance with osh in mining and quarrying with checklists and audit methods will be
compared with data from the Department of occupational safety and health (Dosh);
d. Risks and hazards associated in the mining and quarrying sector for qualitative and quantitative
analysis (selecting the mine based on the sample size); and
e. cause of the accidents that occurred in mining and quarrying sector which will be available
accident data and will be compared to data from Dosh literature from abroad.
2. to develop proposal to:
a. control measures and solutions that should be taken by employers in the mining and quarrying
sector to increase compliance to osh at the workplace.
3. to provide:
a. OSH profile in the mining and quarrying;
b. Plan improvement actions; and
c. template ctf compliance in the mining and quarrying sector.
Methodology 1. work field - qualitative and quantitative measurements
2. structured observations - shoot photos with permission.
3. Questionnaires - Questionnaires had been used to collect data in this program. this survey was
divided into two target groups namely the primary source of inquiry, consisting of the workers, and the
organisation represented by the production operator as a sample. the items in the questionnaire are
constructed based on the modification of the previous questionnaires that were applied in research
involving the implementation of osh in the workplace.
