iv. Other circumstances necessary in the performance of parental
duties and responsibilities where the physical presence is required.
E. BEREAVEMENT LEAVE
To provide support to a grieving employee, there shall be a bereave-
ment leave of two (2) working days with pay to employees who suffered the
loss of an immediate family member. For this purpose, an immediate family
member shall extend to the first degree of relative in the ascending and
descending line, by consanguinity and affinity. It shall likewise include the
legitimate spouse and immediate family members in the collateral line by
consanguinity (ie. Parents, parents-in-law, siblings, spouse, children).
SECTION 6. SEPARATION FROM EMPLOYMENT
A. RESIGNATION
1. An employee may terminate his/her service with the Company
by submitting a resignation letter to his supervisor at least 30 days before
the effective date of his/her resignation.
2. Supervisor shall acknowledge the notice of resignation in writing
and will forward both documents to HR Department.
3. During the 30-day period, the resigning employee and his
supervisor must ensure proper turn-over.
4. There may be occasions where the Company will voluntarily
reduce or waive the notice period. This shall be made in writing and will be
documented on the acceptance letter.
