                 4.10.1.2     ATIS


                 Back to our flight from Roskilde (EKRK) to Stauning (EKVJ).


                 The first thing we do is listen to ATIS. Here, we receive information about the

                 runway in use, wind, temperature, etc. We also got the QNH.

                 We will immediately set this on the altimeter.


                 After the initial call, we must acknowledge the received ATIS and QNH.




                 4.10.1.3     Airport Charts


                 Before we call TOWER for TAXI, we study the airport chart to know the taxiways

                 to runway 21, which is the runway in use.

                 We are parked on the Apron.










                 4.10.1.4      Readability

                 In some cases, you want to get an assessment of how a station receives the

                 transmitted signals. Then you perform a radio check. This can be done in an

                 initial call.
