                7.4.2.1 Take-off distance

When taking off in a tailwind, add + 20% per 10% of Vr (the rotational speed) the tailwind
                constitutes.

Safety factor: Takeoff distance should be less than runway length x 0.7!

                7.4.2.2 Landing distance

                 Landing distance from curves/tables (over 50 feet)…….. m.
Addition for: Wet short grass 20% m.

                                            Wet solid snow / ice 50% m.

                                            Dry solid snow / ice 20% + m.

                                            Subtotal………

                 Reduction: *Headwind ÷ 1 % pr. current kt. ÷
                                           Landing distance ………….

*This is compensated by only counting on 50% of the wind (in headwinds).

                Do not land in tailwind

Safety factor: landing distance should be max. be 70% of the runway available
Remember. 10% too high landing speed gives 20% longer landing distance!
