distances when operating on runways other than hard runways with a solid
surface.

7.4.2.3 A few examples
Landing on:
- Runway: level and dry
o
- Temperature: +10 C
- Wind: calm
Landing distance (from 50 feet): 350 m. A 50% safety factor must be added to this.
Total required runway length: 350m + 175 m = 525 m
Landing on:
- Runway: wet grass (+ 30%)
- Altitude: 500 ft (+ 2.5%)
o
- Temperature: +24 C (+ 5%)
- Wind: calm
Landing distance (from 50 ft): 350 m. To this must be added 30% + 2.5% + 5% +
50%
Total required runway length: 350m x 1.3 x 1.25 x 1.05 x 1.5 = 735 m
